Our fourth year social work students are capping off their educational journeys by presenting their work at a conference today.
The 34 students have chosen important issues facing Australian society, analysed current research and knowledge on the issues, and written an abstract and conference paper.
Associate Professor Roger Markwick, Head of the School of Humanities and Social Science, said the conference – Australian social work: uncovering challenges and potential – was an annual event.
“This year the students are covering topics such as domestic violence, child care and protection, bullying, forced migration and mental health, children with disabilities, and alcohol advertising and sponsorship.
“The conference papers are presented to a live audience of the students’ peers and industry professionals.”
Congratulations to all of the students presenting their work!
