Lost frog DNA back from the dead: Lazarus Project

A team of scientists has used sophisticated cloning techniques to revive and reactivate the genome of an extinct Australian frog by implanting a “dead” cell nucleus into a fresh egg from another frog species. Taking place at the University of Newcastle, the quest to revive the gastric-brooding frog became known as the Lazarus Project.
